King Solo aka Soloman, is one half of the UK rap duo Soloman & D7, as well as a solo artist in his own right. Now under his new moniker King Solo, he unleashes his debut release; a seven track EP entitled “Wise Men Hear, Evil Men Despise”.

This brand new release is the first in a series of EP’s to warm you up for his debut album already scheduled for a 2019 release. It’s an insight to the diverse sounds of this lyrically authentic boom bap artist. A seasoned writer, performer and rapper, King Solo is an act that is focussed on delivering quality music at a consistent rate and his second EP is already recorded.

Solo has performed all over the UK sharing stages with the likes of US acts such as Dead Prez, Jeru The Damaja, Da T.R.U.T.H, Bronze Nazareth and UK legends Skinnyman, Chester P, The Mouse Outfit, Lunar C, Doc Brown, Ocean Wisdom, Jam Baxter, Klashnekoff, Si Phili and many more. Soloman & D7’s debut album ‘Hard Work Pays Off’ is now considered a UK classic and features the likes of Edo G, DJ TMB, Holly Flo Lightly and Trademark Blud, amongst others. Soloman & D7 have also clocked up numerous views on You Tube with official music videos on various leading channels including Seketion Red, Global Faction, Chiba Visuals, MRG Media and more. Soloman & D7's new album ‘More Work Pays Off’ is produced by UK Hip Hop legend Micall Parknsun and has already been signed to Birmingham record label MRG and drops later this year.

“Wise Men Hear, Evil Men Despise” is something every Hip-Hop fan will adore. A rounded EP full of different emotions, social topics and urban commentary, this extended player features some real musical high moments. Working with producers from all around the globe we get a string of solid beats from the likes of Jettimasstyr from Houston (USA), Rob Steez from Ljubljana (Slovenia), OLR from Krusevac (Serbia), Boom Bap from New Jersey (USA), Ben Maker from Paris (France), P Type from (USA) and Zvezdkin from Moscow (Russia).

From the opening track ‘My Introduction’ the EP gets well underway with a real Hip-Hop sound. Up next is the superb ‘Rainy Days’ which features New Jersey rapper Rich Quick who has previously collaborated with the likes of Big Pun’s son Chris Rivers, Dilated Peoples and many more. Other tracks include the lyrical autobiographical onslaught ‘This Is My Life’, as well ‘Jack In The Box’ and ‘Life (Survival)’ which both feature internationally respected turntablist DJ TMB from London. We get a deeper side to Solo on ‘Die Another Day’ which features Birmingham rapper Synikall on the hook. The EP comes to a close with the superb biblical anthem called ‘Lord Forgive Me’ which seems Solo team up long time collaborator D7 and Birmingham rapper Kapes. This EP is just a taste of what’s to come.
